Romanian Philosophy of Law – Tradition, Present and Future
Convenors: Ion Craiovan, CORINA ADRIANA DUMITRESCU, Mihai Badescu
The philosophy of law - in one of its hypostases - seeks meaning relevant to law, in all the spirituality of a historical time. Such meanings emerge from the history of Romanian spirituality, from historical facts, ideas, symbols. The invitation to reflect and debate around the philosophy of law in Romania, on the coordinates of historical time, past-present and open to the future, is not just a remembrance or nostalgia for the history of a specific spirituality. It can unravel the cognitive and action force of the permanence of essential meanings. These are inexhaustible sources of creativity for legal and social thinking and for building the future.
